Manual Lymph Drainage
As published in Nexus - Colorado's Holistic Journal

In manual lymph drainage, light, rhythmic strokes are used to improve the flow of lymph. Lymph glands act as part of the body’s defense system against infection. According to practitioners, by improving lymphatic circulation, different complaints are corrected and the immune system is improved. Lymph drainage is said to be effective for lymphedema that commonly follows mastectomy surgery. Training varies, beginning with a four-day, 21-hour introductory course. Advanced course work and certification are offered to licensed or certified health care practitioners.
