Breema restores vitality at an energetic level through either standardized sets of movements done on oneself, or through treatments given by a practitioner. Based on bodywork techniques from a small Kurdish village, this work was introduced to Westerners by Manocher Movlai, a native of the village of Breemava. The names of Breema treatments—and the physical movements they involve—frequently reflect and express a connection to earth and nature: “grinding the wheat,” “underground water,” “dancing on the grapes.” Training and certification program requires 165 hours.
