Some say the explanation for the reported healing abilities of Jesus Christ and other religious figures lies here. This diagnostic technique is sometimes referred to as chakra balancing. People with highly developed intuitive skills and psychic abilities can read "subtle body energy" or "auras" and "see" chakras. Chakras, a Sanscrit word meaning “wheel,” are subtle energy centers located along the spine. Popular medical intuitive Caroline Myss has increased awareness of this technique, but it is not new. It has been recognized by Eastern medicine and some religions for centuries.
Chakra balancing and energy therapies are based on the belief that the body has seven main energy centers along the spine which absorb and emit life force. Each chakra governs an area of the body together with specific emotional issues. Poor health results when blockages occur due to bad nutrition, drugs, injury or mental and emotional problems. A variety of therapies may be suggested including acupuncture, biodynamic massage, yoga, color and light therapy, cranio-sacral therapy, crystal healing, homeopathy, kinesiology, polarity therapy, qigong, shiatsu, sound therapy and spiritual/psychic healing.
